Visitors are encouraged to look at items from their pockets or varied objects ranging from magnolia blossoms to microchips that are stored in a provided bin. They can even look inside their own ear! An LCD monitor provides a brilliant full-color image of the object being investigated.

Easy-to-use buttons control the motor-driven zoom and focus of the microscope. The microscope itself is housed in a clear acrylic case that protects the instrument while allowing people to study the workings of this indispensable tool of science. The microscope includes an LED light ring for illumination.
